Trouvaille is proud to offer a unique sailing cruise opportunity with Island Windjammers from August 19-25, 2018. This will be a Windward Islands sail on Vela, a small, yet elegant classic sailing ship that can accommodate 26 passengers along with a crew of 11. We will embark in St. Lucia and sail south to Grenada. We will visit a selection of different islands that include Bequia, Carriacou, Mayreau, Tobago Cays, and Union Island.
Cruise rates are inclusive of all onboard meals and snacks, beverages (water, juice, soda, beer, wine, and rum punch), port charges and taxes, and complimentary use of snorkel gear. Accommodations are modern and comfortable. Trouvaille also provides comprehensive travel insurance, two free Caribbean books (a history book and a travel book); 24/7 support before, during, and after the cruise; guided tours; and nightly star parties.
The notional itinerary will be similar to the following. The exact islands visited on each day may be different:
August 19: Board Vela in Marigot Bay, St. Lucia, at 2 p.m. Get underway.
August 20: Sail to Bequia. Visit the Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary, go hiking, and enjoy the variety of beaches.
August 21: Sail to Union Island. Get your thrill on with some surfing and wind-surfing, go fishing, or take a lesson at a kiteboarding school.
August 22: Sail to Mayreau. Visit a historic shipwreck, the Mayreau Catholic Church, and the splendid beaches at Salt Whistle Bay.
August 23: Sail to Tobago Cays.
August 24: Sail to Carriacou. Learn some history at the Carriacou Museum, take a reef tour, or enjoy Sandy Island and Tyrell Bay.
August 25: Sail into port at Grenada. Disembark at 10 a.m.
