Mall Music is one of Australian's most influential names in music. Operating for over 30 years, with humble beginnings as local music haunt for music lovers and aficionado's on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Over time, and with the dedication of the Mall Music crew, we grew to become Australia's largest independent music store. We’ve been there through vinyl, cassette, compact disc and digital downloads, at which point we said “farewell” to the sale of physical music formats and instead expanded our existing musical instrument department to become a fully fledged musical instrument retailer.

We’ve hosted performances and signings of some of the worlds most talented musicians such as Willie Nelson, Chris Issak, James Morrison, Michael Buble, Julian Lennon, Ice House, Angus & Julia Stone, Rob Hirst, Kelly Clarkson... just to name a few. The legend Fess Parker of the Radiators is our own in-house Guitar Repair technician. Being located within the Warringah Mall Shopping Centre provided us with the space to host thousands of fans as they flocked to meet their music idols. As the centre increased it’s footprint, we’ve chosen to relocate (11 times in fact!) to provide our customers with a bigger, better shopping experience. We’ve also won 4 ARIA Awards for Best Retail Store, so when you shop with us you know you’re in good hands.

In 2010 we evolved. This was a time when music downloads wreaked havoc on the music industry and the industry itself was yet to catch up to the demands of this new generation. As our retail comrades were closing their doors, our passion for music drove us to change. We selected a new premise, boarded up and forgotten, on the outskirts of the Warringah Mall complex. Working with an innovative team of young architects we turned this into our flagship store, complete with the best brands and range of musical instruments. Fast forward to 2014; the success of the new Mall Music allowed us to launch a second store in the Macquarie Centre complex, North Ryde.
