Frenectomies – Your frenum is a connective tissue membrane that serves the purpose of attaching one surface of your mouth to another. An “elongated lingual frenum” often results in young children having difficulty speaking properly. These and other problems are generally best addressed with the removal of either one or both frena. With this simple surgical procedure that takes less than 30 minutes, Dr. Erica can save your child and you a world of social problems in the years to come.
