Workshop Equipment Store®” has developed as an offshoot from our original company, Engines Galore,

Founded by John Chbib, we started as a vehicle recycling company back in 2007. We are 100% Australian owned.  

As “Engines Galore” grew, we found that we were acquiring large quantities of roadworthy grade used tyres. Disposing or scrapping these tyres was neither environmentally friendly nor economical. 

So, we set up a tyre retail department to offer used tyres to the public at very competitive prices. With more and more customers requesting new tyres, we decided to import top quality new tyres as well.

We also found a niche for our tyres in the trailer manufacturing industry This grew rapidly, and we began to import containers of trailer wheels for our tyres to supply our many trailer manufacturing clients.

With our focus now on tyres, “Engines Galore” began trading as Tyre Station®, a local tyre dealer in Craigieburn.  

As our tyre business grew, we began to import equipment for our workshop. Machines such as tyre changers, wheel balancers, car hoists, and alignment machines. Working very closely with our manufacturers over the years on R & D, we progressively improved these machines to cater for high volume usage, with each piece of equipment being tried and tested in our workshop.

We were so confident in the quality of our products that we decided to offer them to the market. Before this however, we sent all the design and engineering specifications of our lifting machines to Worksafe, and each is Worksafe registered.

This side of the business has grown so much that we have decided to offer our heavy-duty workshop equipment under a new brand – “Workshop Equipment Store®”.
