On September 26, 2019, Caldwell Investment Management Ltd. announces proposal to merge Clearpoint Global Dividend Fund into Caldwell U.S. Dividend Advantage Fund. In order for the proposal to continue, specific terms and benefits should be provided to the unitholders. The said proposal will provide unitholders with several benefits, which include the following: expected reduction in management fees, reduced administration and regulatory costs, the potential for enhanced diversification, and Tax deferral. Established in 1990, Caldwell Investment Management is a Toronto-based portfolio manager and investment fund manager that offers mutual funds and pooled fund products to Canadian investors. According to management information circular, the proposal is mailed to all the unitholders of Clearpoint Global Fund.
